A Habitat Management and Monitoring Plan, or HMMP, is usually requested after a BNG assessment. It explains how proposed habitat creation or enhancement will be established, managed and monitored so that it continues to meet the project’s BNG commitments.
The plan sets out practical management actions, monitoring responsibilities and appropriate review points for the required period.
